Hi all. Well, as some of you know, I'm going to gymnastics every wednesday. But I always wanted to do something else during the week. Now I finally met someone in this Gymnasics session, who needed someone to go jogging or fast-walking with. So, we ended up arranging to meet every monday. We already did it once and it was great. Nearly 9 kilometers in one and a half hours, without a break. I'm so so so happy I found someone for that.

Oh yeah we definitely do. She's older than I am and she's sighted, so she knows the way. It#s fun to talk about things with her.

Hmmm your going at it too hard for the begining of your exercise routine unless your planning something big like climbing K2, I'd slow down pal, and overweight people are more prone to injury when they start exercising...however it's your body and you will have to live with the injury...

Well it's not real jogging, it's fast walking.

Even so your leg muscles are not attuned to the strainask yourself "how long has my partner being fast walking"and see if you are really up to it...you have just started and walking about 1/4 of a mile normally every day, while building it up slowly, will allow your muscles and tendons time to acclimatise to the increasing activity

...If you go at it too hard too early, you risk having pulled muscles and torn tendons, which will put you out of action for weeks, exercise is dangerous in the beginging you have to take into account the inactivity that proceeded your new energetic lifestyle and tailor the amount of exercise accordingly, otherwise you may end up in casualty..

No but if you do some gymnastics before that, why not? And, the muscles are trained then.
